Let’s Talk Wedding Day Logistics… ⬇️
BTS footage… final touches of decor on our wedding cake as the outdoor ceremony takes place in the background. While the cake serves as a decorative element, it is temperamental Cake that can only be out of the refrigerator for so long when fully stacked. Here are our Recommendations:
1. In General, Ask your Baker Their Preference. The wedding day timeline should take vendors needs and requirements into consideration. Have your planner or day of coordinator and your cake company communicate directly to plan.
2. Our Rule of Thumb is 1 hour prior to the Reception Start time. For a 4 hour reception, this leave approximately 3 hours for the cake to be out on display. We recommend cake be served as close to room temperature as possible. Though more than 5 hours out in certain temperatures can be problematic for larger cakes.
3. Arriving closer to the event start time allows your cake company to be the ONLY one handling the cake. They can take full responsibility and care of their baby. When cakes arrive to venues early, there are multiple people handling them and ANYTHING can happen (trust me on this)
